Catching snails

So I had 5 clutches hatch I want to catch them and grow them in another tank...so I've noticed they are eating my plants cause they are not getting enough food so do u think I could catch them during the day since they are so hungry

I've read that you can catch them with a leaf of lettuce. Put it in at night and then go to sleep. In the morning...covered in snails. Remove lettuce/snails. Rinse and repeat.
