Currently I am using a Primo 1000 (Millennium 1000) power filter which has no top to the part where the water is. What is happening is the water is getting into the paint on my wall and it is peeling. To try and prevent the evaporation from the filter, I bought a Whisper Power Filter. It is not in the tank yet. Do any of you know if this can be done? If so, How? and is it a good idea?

Thanks in advance!

If you need to run one of the filters on the front, move your current one to the front, then the new filter to the place where it will permanently reside, and run for at least 3 weeks like was stated above. Then remove the old filter off the front of the tank.

Will the filter media from the Primo filter fit in the Whisper? If so, put it in there, remove the Primo and everything should be fine.
