Changing my filter, lots of bugs, throw out?

I have a canister filter, I'm about to change it and I can see lots of bugs on the plastic. I just put copepods and amphipods in the tank for my scooter blenny, Do you think they all ended up in the filter? Should I dump them out? How do I save them? Also Should I put a filter sock on the intake so this doesn't happen again? Thanks

I see them all the time on my sponge heads on my mag pumps. They just in there and multiply. I just pick them off and throw back in the tank.

Thats what I would do too, just throw them back in.

These were so tiny, you couldn't even pick them up! I dumped the water and put the ones stuck to the plastic back in.
