Why do chromis die randomly I think the bigger one in my tank bullied the smallest one to death

I suppose but it still seemed real healthy it's the second one its happened to

If there is a bully, you have stress. When you have stress, you have unhealthy fish and an increased possibility of disease due to lowered immune systems.

The chromis isn't always a bully he did leave it alone for ages

I bought 7 green chromis once. 5 for my 120 gallon and 2 for a 20 gallon. They came from two different stores and mine all died. One by one within a week. Are chromis just not hardy fish?

Chromis tend to pick each other off one by one if you have a school. They're not truly a peaceful schooling fish. Sometimes it can happen in days, and sometimes in years. It depends on the fish.

That fully depends on your size tank. An average sized tank could have a nice school of Anthias.

Chromis are still good schooling fish. You just have to restock every now and then if you want them long term.

What about 120 gallon? I've been thinking about a school of anthias for a while. How many could I do in that size tank? I have a kole tang, scopas, and sailfin and two clowns
