hey all, im showing a picture of my Ahli cichlid because im wondering why he hasn't turned his famous electric blue yet. I have had him for about 3 months, and I think he should have turned color long ago. Any ideas? ps the water is murky because i just did PWC. He is tough to see, but he is right behind that plant. Thanks for any suggestions or advice!

There's alot of factors that go into fish color, whether it's from diet, stress, dominance, water quality or fish breeding. There's also around 15 Sciaenochromis fryeri which have dramatic color differences. Also if I remember right your also keeping these fish in a small tank.
