The new tank I got is a little dirty so what's the safest way to clean it and how long should I do a leak test on it?

Put the tank on a level surface where if it leaks won't cause damage. Fill with water to the top be careful to not drip (you won't know if it's the tank or not).
I cleaned mine with water and paper towels. Don't use soap or chemicals.
For the out side I put window cleaner on a towel and wiped it down (don't spray near the tank).
You can use white vinegar or pure lemon juice for lime scale. For stuff spots you can scrape with a safety edge razor.

Add some baking soda and it will shine it up.

Redneck drano lol

It makes a great reaction!

Are you able to scrub? If so, take advantage of the abrasiveness of the baking soda and then lightly spray with white vinegar. Rinse well with water to get a scale-free sparkle!
