1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.).
2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.
3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?
4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known.
5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes?
6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time?
7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them?
8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.?
9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently?

I got this tank 75 gallon Sunday. It had 4 dead fish in it and 2 months of amazing overfeeding (BROWN water)/no cleaning (ex spouse situation). Bad, bad, bad. Tore it down, moved it, cleaned it up (left minimal gravel because I knew I was probably going to loose more fish and it's just easier to clean this way (2 more died in transport, but none since being put in tank Sunday).

Tank houses South American cichlids 6 or 7 and a pleco. Two of the survivors are severums and each have one white cloudy eye. Otherwise are perky and don't show signs of distress.

I haven't measured tank parameters since getting it set up (really, it was Sunday night and it "was what it was"). Yesterday was crisis mode trying to get the canister working. The temp has gradually gone up from 67 (temp had fallen to room temp in the transport buckets) to upper 70s so far. This was not an ideal situation, obviously. There is one filter running--a hang-on type (double)--no bio wheel, but floss and I did put in new activated charcoal bags (the smell was unreal).

75 gallon tank.

Parts ordered for Magnum 350 cansiter--which is NOT turned on--leaking. Not sure on gph on other filter (not enough).

I haven't really fed them since Sunday (God knows they had plenty of food in there Sunday morning). I didn't get them into the tank until 8 pm and they were stressed and cold, so I saw no reason to add food. I did feed about 5 med. pellets yesterday (that's all that was eaten--removed the rest) and the sick severums are the ones that ate. I am bringing home cichlid flakes to try tonight, because I realized I need something that will sink. I have fed the pleco a algae tab.

I'm really trying to minimally feed until I have more filtration.

So I have the eye issues. I'm also noticing lots of missing scales/torn fins. Overall they are acting normal and otherwise doing well. Looking for treatment advice. Is this something that will just clear up with good water? Should I wait to treat until I have more water movement? I've never had sicknesses in my tanks before (well beyond ick from the petstore fish I've added) but I sort of inherited these issues with the tank.

TIA

I would keep the water super clean for a while, like a 25% change every day. You might have a mini cycle, since you had to do such a thorough cleaning. Keep that up for a week, and see if things improve. If they start to go downhill, then it might be time to think about meds.
