Cloudy water after new decor

After pitching some new decorations.. My water turned a bit cloudy ... I did rinse them out with water before putting them in

That's bc this pic was taken right after placing them in .. It became cloudy after an hour and remains cloudy ever since

Did you remove any other decor that you've had before you placed those new ones in?

Did you test the water? If the tank has been set up for a while than stirring up substrate could have caused an ammonia spike??

Yes I did remove other decorations.. I'm going to test the water now

Then there was probably a lack of the beneficial bacteria. The bacteria isn't just in the filter but on the decor as well. When you took out the old decor and replaced it with new ones, you actually removed some of the bacteria so it'll take time for it to settle again...

If you did have a spike you should def change some water.

Nitrite is 0

Nitrate is 20 ppm
