Grrriph said:Yeah just did a water change a few days ago.
Grrriph said:Aand a snail. But I know that not the problem. I think it was my water. It was slightly slightly cloudy when I did a 30% change. But it got worse and that's what I don't get

The other thing I can think of is that you stirred the substrate too much, but that wouldn't get water THAT cloudy, I suppose...
Maybe try to get a bit of water aside and check whether it'll go cloudy on its own after a while?
Marconis said:Looks more like green water to me than "cloudy" water. Perhaps you have too much lighting?
Marconis said:Well, I'd say if it gets worse when the lights come back on could be an indication that it is due to light intensity...

Did you replace the bulbs or buy a new lighting fixture? I agree with the others, it seems more like an algae bloom than a bacterial bloom (white water).
My bet is you have excess nutrients and too much light. How long do you keep your lights on? How many watts does your fixture put out?
krbooker said:The only problem I see with doing a blackout is that it is a temporary fix, if it is an alage problem once you start putting the lights back on your problem will return.
krbooker said:Even though you have a fresh water tank do you add aquarium salt to the water when you do water changes? Also how often do you do water changes? How often do you feed your fish? What temperature do you keep the tank at? Is your tank close to a window were it might get some natural light? All of these things might be a factor in your problem.
