clown acting strange

Hi everybody!
I am fairly new to the hobby. I have a red and black clarkii clown and it is acting wierd.he eats well but he will alternate between swimming normally but then he will suspend himself mid water not moving. Sometimes he will curve himself into a U shape while suspended. My 29 gal. tank is about a month old and i did a 40% yesterday. I understand that they sleep but he did it all day today. Can someone tell me what is wrong?

Have you checked your parameters? Has your tank fully cycled through? I would monitor for stress, the fact that he curves like that concerns me

Yeah something seems odd about that. Watch him as closely as possible for the next couple of days and definitely test your water parameters.
