Hey everybody!
I am considering getting some tiger barbs for my 75 gallon. The current stock includes:
10 harlequin rasboras,
10 cherry barbs,
6 otocinlcus catfish,
1 angelfish, and
1 rainbowshark.

Eventually there will be 5 kuhli loaches as well (I plan to move them from my 10 gallon once they get big enough so the angelfish doesn't eat them). The tank has an AquaClear 110 filter on it.
I've been quite fond of tiger barbs since 4 years ago when I had them in a 20 gallon, but because I was a newbie aquarist and didn't know what I was doing, they died :(. I have wanted more ever since.

I know tiger barbs are pretty nippy, but if I got like 12-16 of them would they keep to themselves instead of attacking the angelfish?

Thanks! :thanks:

I wouldn't chance adding any amount of tiger barbs with having an angel. There will always be someone who has had done it and says it will work but chances are even with a large group of tigers you will still have problems with them harassing the angel.

I have 14 tiger barbs, I wouldn't chance an angelfish with them. Ruby barbs look kinda like tigers and are supposed to be less aggressive if you like the look of them.
