Convicts male or female?

How are you able to tell the difference between male and female convicts? Are the females normally larger and males colored darker?

Males are larger, they grow the hump on the top of their heads. Females are usually smaller, and have orange on their bellies.

With that said this is one of the most imbread species of cichlid so it's not uncommon for them to show traits of the other sex.
