Cool tank recommendations

I'm planning on putting two goldfish in my new 29 gallon, but if there are interesting coolwater fish that stay a little on the small side instead of goldfish, I'd love to consider them. I have no experience with cool water, and I don't know what fish are compatible. Any recommendations?

Why do you want coldwater? Why not go with some cool tropical fishies? Just wondering...

The only other coolwater fish I can think of are White Clouds....but they aren't too interesting IMO.
