coral apeared on my live rock

wish i had a picture. a round purple coral has apeared on my live rock.it looks like a blanket on the rock and has a porus look also. i dont have proper lighting for any corals and actually i noticed this when tearing down my 55 gallon tank and the rocks are in a rubber maid container with some salt water awaiting there new home in my 125 gallon tank. i dont want this thing to die should i worry about it and sell the rock and coral or will it be ok?

I think it's a sponge, not a true coral.

put a heater and a ph in the tub with the lr to help keep every thing going. How long before the new setup?

yeah it looks like that one in the picture. i just ordered the live sand sat so it will be about a week. i already have 3 powerheads mixing up the water nicely.
