I have a similar coral and it took me a while to find the right spot for it. They like a lot of flow, is it in a heavy flow area? Try moving it but I found that you need to wait a couple of days for it to respond to its new placement. Mine has tripled in size in less than a year ;)

How do I reattach it?

Did it come on a little piece of rock? It's not a good sign if it's falling off the rock (assuming it can on a piece of rock) do you have any smaller pieces of rock you could put either side of it to prop it up?
