Pretty sure it's a bubble. When I bought it the lfs guy tried to say it was a hammer. We politely argued a little but for 10$ I went for it.

It's a type of Euphyllia. A relative of Hammers, Frogspawns, Torches. It's commonly called an "Octopus Coral".

Its starting to open up more and it looks like frogspawn. Is Octopus coral a overall name for Euphyllia corals or mine more specifically?

That particular variation is what I see called octo. Not the others.
