can it be done, i would like an all in 1 tank that can support corals for under 100, any ideas?

Best I've found is a 4g tank with light enough for softies and lps. How big are you looking for zach? Shouldn't you be stocking the 20g tank? LOL

i should be focusing on the 20 but i also want a 1-5 gallon for my desktop, could i have a link to the 4g?

Sure. But keep in mind this is mostly a coral tank and isn't really suitable for any fish bigger than an inch AT MOST. lol

Pico 4g Glass

would that light support zoas? also i was thinking abouth keeping a pair of yellow clown gobies, any idea how to pair them?

I would not keep more than one clown goby in that small of a tank. Yep, the light is good enough for mushrooms, zooas, leathers and some LPS like duncans. Here are some pictures of the exact same tank I linked when I had mine setup.

nice tank, how do you feel about this tank and light Tom 2 Gallon Deco Nano Reef Aquarium - Furry Pet Supplies
i would get the 3 gallon. I know its cheap which is good but makes me wonder about quality, i would only get 1 clown goby

I don't like the light, it's more geared to freshwater in my opinion. It doesnt say how many watts the light is either. The tank I linked is complete with filter and all for like $60. You really cant beat that and the tank was really good quality. Rimless, all glass, really nice. I actually miss it now, I sold it off on CL last week. :-( lol

im gonna buy it but its gonna be a slow build, might not get it for a month, thanks for all of your help

Not a problem. You should get a few lbs of base rock and put it in your 20g now so that when you get it the tank will insta cycle. :-D

Nope, never top off with saltwater unless you need to adjust ypur salinity up. When the water evaporates the salt remains behind so you don't have to re add salt. :)

where could i buy ro/di without installing a unit? also did that filter make noise

The pico filter? Nope, really quiet, but its so small it kinda would be. ;-)

Try your local fish store they usually sell ro/di water. If you have to you could go to a supermarket water machine and fill 5g jugs. It's about 30 cents a gallon
