Hi guys!

I just got a new emerald cory catfish and was wondering about feeding. I bought him tetra veggie algae wafers and was wondering how much and how often I should feed him. Also, do I need to break the wafers down before putting them in the tank?

Thanks!

You may want to break those up into smaller peaces. You don't want too much food just sitting there to dirty up your water. I like the sinking shrimp pellets, but don't over use those either. They crumble up after they soak.

Corycats should not be kept alone because they are very social. They need to be in groups with their own kind

Yes. To get their true nature and character they need to kept in groups

As for feeding, they will eat almost anything you put in the tank. only feed what they can eat. Dont think 'oh well he'll or she'll eat it later' it will dirty your water and the food can even become toxic over time.
