Cory Catfish

In the past several months I have cleaned my Rena XL filter. Each time in the bottom of the filter, I have found from 2 to 4 baby cory catfish living and doing fine. Is this weird or is this normal to find? The first time I found 2 and one died. the second time I found 3 and all are doing fine. Yesterday I found 4 and so far they are doing fine. How can I stop them from getting in my filter? Any suggestions or comments will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Covering the end of your intske tube is the solution. What you use is up to you, sponge, steel cover some people have even used pantyhose. Just be aware that this will clog up fairly quickly and depending on your tank will require cleaning once a week maybe more.
