when my cories are in the community tank I find eggs on the glass after one day of turning off the heater. I started a separate tank weeks back and both tanks have the same water parameters, temp, and gravel. The only difference is the second tank is acrylic. and I find no eggs. Do cory eggs not stick to acrylic? Should I remove all gravel in the fry tank? :thanks:

Are you certain they are cory eggs and not possible snail eggs? How long have you had the cories? Most take awhile to grow out before they are sexually mature.

no snails. and I watched them once placing them. Its always in the corner of the flow of the powerhead.

Ok. Good start. Do you have a similar flow pattern in the new tank? They may just need to settle in. The best advice I can offer is to check the tank as early in the morning as possible and before / during any stormy weather. Any eggs that are left too long with be eaten.

thank you. Back to my original question, do cory eggs not stick to acrylic?

I'm guessing that the cories in the acrylic tank aren't laying eggs.
