I just looked at my Cory, and one of its whiskers appears to be swollen. If I can get a good picture, I will post it.

Anyone able to comment on what is wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sunday nights can be slow around any forum. You should get some more replies today. In the mean time...

What is your:
Ammonia level -
Nitrite level -
Nitrate level -
?
What kind of substrate do you have there? It's hard to tell from the pic.
Any tank mates?
Any sharp objects in the tank he could have injured himself on?
What size is the tank?
When was your last PWC and how much?
What is your maintenance schedule?
Is there any discoloring or reddening on or around the barbel?
Is he displaying any other issues?

Answering these questions will help folks help you.

IME, the first step to healing is daily PWCs of about 50%. Lots of clean water goes a long way in the healing process.

Ammonia and nitrite are both zero. Checked them last night. Nitrate i am unsure about. Just did a 50% PWC on Saturday. I do one every Saturday. I have flourite substrate, and driftwood. Tank mates are 5 Gold Tetras, 5 Cardinal Tetras, and a BN Pleco. Its a 29 gallon tank. Water is set to about 78. Ph is high at 7.6, but it stays steady there. Doesn't fluctuate.

how about salt? do you add any salt to the tank? a small dose might help so long as it doesn't affect any other species you have

I dont add any salt to the tank. Not sure how it will affect my other fish.

Also, forgot to answer all if these questions. There is no discoloration or reddening around the barbel. Just looks white. He seems to be acting fine other than that.
