I have a 20 long with 3 multifaciatus shell dwellers and 6 fancy guppies. Could I (or should I) add more multis? Would they be better off if I didn't?

The guppys don't get beat on??

They chase them off but none of the guppies have been hurt. I think the guppies are meaner to each other than the shellies are to them.

What is the sex ratio on shellies?

There are 2 males and 1 female I think if the females are the smaller ones. The males each dug out their sections at opposite sides of the tank while the female stays by the middle.

You could Definitely add more

You may have to take out the existing ones then add them back a day later to make new teritories.

I was going to say something similar, they're pretty territorial?? May have to to a major rearrange and leave the lights off a few days as well.

Thanks for the advice. I went to my LFS and they did have some but they didn't look as good as the 3 I bought before and on top of that they raised the price from 12 to 20 each. I would have bought more the first time but they only the 3.
