Both vessels shown above are a low pressure (gas) design in which the shell is sheet metal and is rolled in a seam with the bottom plate. High pressure (liquid) vessels are invariably a drawn design in which there is no bottom plate. The whole container is drawn from a single piece of metal into the canister shape.
