Okay, so about a week ago my Banggai Cardinal died in this tank. I had him for a month or more. Not sure what killed him. So the tank is now empty.

Tonight I bought a yellow eyed Kol Tang and two cleaner shrimp with 5 snails.

Do I keep the Tang in my quarantine tank before adding to the empty tank?

The cardinal didn't get ick, not sure why he died. He didn't appear in bad shape, but I never saw him eat much.

I just hate to keep him in a 29 gal qt if there are no fish in the dt. Yes, more rock is needed for sure. Thank you. :)

So I am pretty sure my yellow eyed tang is about dead.

I haven't seen him eat from the veggie clip or flake food.

I don't know much about sw but I'd say you've got some work to do on that tank man...

A few recommendations for next time:
1) try seaweed on a rock attached with a rubberband
2) try mysis
3) get adequate rock first to provide hiding in hopes to reduce stress

I had to do all of these things for my Kole Tang. Now he is healthy and more comfortable

I'm going to take my rock out of my 55 gal which will at least give me 50lbs in the 75 gal.

I tested my water just for curiosity's sake and the only thing off is ph. Ph was low.
