cycling with LR

im not sure whether do do this when i do get a sw tank set up. sometimes i hear to do it, then other times i hear not too. if this is a yes, than would all the little critters that come with the LR die?

Yes you can do it, it can possibly help you have a shorter cycle. Some critters might not make it.
