Aquarium Advice Apprentice
Golden long-fin Danio
49 gallon tank, running for over 2 years
fluval c3
no new decor, no new fish (last new fish was put in a month ago- 2 black phantom tetras)
water change/gravel cleaning every two weeks
This has happened once before to a silvertip tetra, I caught that one too late, and it died. This is the second time it has happened.
It started with a red bump on the side of the body.
I treated with parasite clear twice with daily water changes, and it's turned into this>
This morning, there is no longer a single dot in the middle.
Does anyone know what it is?
I don't really have much experience with external wounds like this. I don't know if it's parasitic.
Behaviour is pretty normal, he's been eating normally. Breathing a little heavy this morning, might just be the lack of aeration in the quarantine tank, trying to use an air pump with limited flow, but it's fidgety, so I'd like to just be able to put him back in the main tank as soon as possible. =/
