I bought a box of rock off a guy that hasn't been in a tank for some time, it's covered in a build up of salt it looks like. What's the best way to clean it off and get it ready to put in the tank. Thanks

If the rock is dry and has been for some time I'd use RO/DI when it comes to the water for cleaning.

For scrubbing you can try a new toothbrush unless you find yourself needing something thats stronger for the scrubbing.

You can pressure wash it and them soak it in salt water

I have a bucket of salt water and a bucket of Distilled water can just use one of them to clean it up?

If the rock isn't live I don't see why you would need to use saltwater.

I would just use the distilled and save the salt.
