I have a 10gal tank that currently has 14 mystery snails (apple snails of the species Pomacea bridgesii) and a ADF that is awaiting the set up of my 20 long.

I need two filters soon, one for the snail tank (10gal) and one for the frog tank (20gal). Any suggestions?

I'd use it as an excuse to try those mini canister filters. Possibly this one for the 10 gallon and this one for the 20 gallon. Otherwise I'd go with an AquaClear filter since they have a great reputation and plenty of room for filter media. For lower flow a sponge filter is also a good choice.

wow, that mini canister filter looks awesome (inexpensive too). I wonder if it works well. I have a tank with FB toads and FB newts in it and its experiencing a ramhorn snail boom (annoying). Right now I have a cartridge internal filter which gets clogged with sphagnum moss on a daily basis so I think I'm going to get a different filter too.
