Hey everyone I am currently in a developmental biology class and decided to do something out of the norm for the projects we do, most choose to study planaria, tadpoles, or sea urchin development. Since i have a rather populated 29G community tank with FRC prego mothers I convinced my group to see the developmental rate of fry and if mothers give birth at different temps.
The parameters of the coldest tank was about 58-60F , the control was the room temp of 70F, and the last was heated to 80F
Was curious if anyone else has tried this and noticed a significant difference in fry development and wether pregnant mothers and their unhatched fry will survive the extreme at 60 and 80.
Heres a couple photos of my planted tank
