Many years ago when I lived in California, I had something called a diatom filter which was made of an old Mason jar with a motor on top and two tubes that recycled aquarium water through a filter that had diatomaceous powder that I had to add. It such a thing still available on the market anywhere or have I been passed by and technology advanced to the point that there are new and better products out there?

there are diatom filters on the market that are actually made just for that purpose, or you can use a hot magnum with the micron filter cartridge and seed that with de powder also.
