I'm stocking a ten gallon tank with some glofish tetras (white skirts). I had four mostly because I had one of each color, but have read they like to be in schools of 5 or more. After checking with aqadvisor that getting two more wouldn't kill them I got two more tonight.

The difference was instantaneous! Before all but one would hide in the corner under the heater most of the time, now they're all swimming around in the center of the tank. I didn't really think they would change their behavior very much, but now I can see why everyone says to get at least five.

I just wanted to let you guys know you had a positive difference in my fishes lives at least.

They're definitely more secure in numbers and you're seeing the benefit of that. I find that the school will break up a bit during the day but come together during feeding times.
