Dirted tank help

I just dirted my tank and capped it in gravel just woundering how long I have to keep my fish out of the tank due to a bloom, just have the fish in a plastic storage compartment with an air stone, and I have put the water I had in the tank pre dirting back into the tank for bacteria so Im just wondering how long to keep them out dont want any dead fish

If your talking about a bacterial bloom there is no reason the fish can't be re-added to the tank.

EDIT: If you didn't let your filter media especially the bio-media dry out during your change over that is where all your BB will be.
