Dirty ?? Gourami ?

I noticed this morning that my Gold Gourami almost appears to be dirty in a small line across the top of his body. It literally looks like dirt, but it doesn't seem to be affecting him in any way shape or form.

I think something similar has been posted on this.
What could it be ?

I put up a post asking this same question a while back. Mine's orange and sometimes he just looks dirty;black in some places. In some light he'll look really orange but at other times he looks grayish. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. I noticed my tetra runt has the same thing running along the top of him. I don't know what the heck it is...

then again she's not well anyway - i think she's permantly damaged from ammonia levels awhile back
