Bit of a nightmare this afternoon. In my LFS I spotted two beautiful small silver angels that I thought may got very well in my 63 gallon community tank. I was a little concerned as I have 2 large Angels in there (which i thought might be aggressive towards them), as well as 2 Golden Gourami, Clown Loaches, a Rainbow Shark & three Bristlenose Pleco.
I acclimatised the Angels as usual, and all seemed well until my male Gourami spotted them and just relentlessly chased them (especially one), to the point where I thought it was going to expire. I couldn't watch this, so took my gourami out & put him in my other tank (but it's going to be a bit small in the long term). He chases the female gourami sometimes, but never like this.
All the other fish, including the Large Angels have been fine. The new Angels are still alive (one looks fine). I just hope the other one rallies. It is looking a little better, but very stressed. It's hidden in some plants, so hopefully will calm down.
Just not sure what to do with my male Gourami? May have to be returned to my LFS I think, sadly.
