Dither fish for severum tank?

I just ordered a couple of severums (1 gold, 1 green) to go in my 6' tank with the 2 brasiliensis and 5 Blue Eyes I got the other night.
The blue eyes in particular are more skittish than any fish I've had.
So while I was at the lfs ordering my fish, I asked what would make good dither fish. He only made one suggestion as he was convinced that it was ideal.
Now, I'm going to ask the same question of you good people, and then I will share with you his suggestion. And I'll find out whether it is he, or I, who is stupid. Lol.

Or even uaru if your tank is big enough or buy some small ones and grow then sell there is always demand for large uaru

um tinfoil barbs, congo tetras(im thinking adults only), and maybe any grouping fish that get not to big or not to small. also maybe some catfish that like to group up like pictus but start small with them or maybe synodontis petricola
