DIY Air driven filter question.

I'm building an airpump driven filter for my fry tank. I have all the parts I need except the actual container. I was going to use a fish food container but the only one I have is still full. What I did find was a plastic tube that M&M minis vame in. Its a perfect fit. My question is, will the plastic from this container hurt my fish?

EDIT: Would a prescription pill container work if it was boiled and cleaned really good?

I'm no expert but the plastic in a candy container should be certified non toxic. I would go ahead and use it without worry.
