Do you have to dose Nutrafin Cycle weekly?

Do you have to dose Nutrafin Cycle weekly if you used it?

I used it on my first tank & I'm sure it was only the first week I dosed the tank. Just keep an eye on your paras :)
 
I dosed it for the 3 day thing and thats all.
 
Yes I am using it still dose it 1/5 cap full at every weekly water change ...
 
Yep that's fine, I just followed the instructions, then didn't use it again. :)

Ditto. I've used it to start several tanks I needed to add fish to quickly. After the three days, never used it again, and have never had any issues.

The bacteria ya add will start reproducing every 12-18 hours, dependent on "food", alkalinity, pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen and a few other factors. They reproduce by binary fission, in other words they split in half to form two new critters, and are attached to the surfaces in the tank and the media in the filter. There is very little nitrifying bacteria suspended in the water column, nothing more than what may have incidentally been scraped off of a surface, so any bacteria removed during a water change is incidental. There is no need to continue adding it after water changes once the nitrifying bacteria colony is established.
