Algae does not harm your fish. But the presence of algae usually means high levels of contaminates In the water that can harm fish. Do you test your water regularly?

No but I do change my water very often and it's green algae not other kinds and I'm guessing my water is ok because my german blue ram is ok in my water conditions.

There are many reasons for algae in tanks. Often it is from running too high a lighting for too long. When algae is present you should only run your lights a max of 6 hours daily. Also is the tank planted? What are your nitrate levels? What type lighting do you have and how many hours a day do you run it. Algae is a sign there is an imbalance in your tank.
