Hello everyone. Here is a couple of pictures of my 40 gallon breeder tank. It has only been cycled for about a week now. My first plant was an Amazon Sword. Really like how these plants look. I have grown a very large new leaf in about two days. Here is a quick list of my equipment:

Lighting: Current USA Nova Extreme 36" dual bulb T5HO 78 watts

Filter: Fluval 305

Heater: 250 Watt aqueon pro

Substrate: PFS

Other: 2 pieces of driftwood and a custom slate wall in the back

Just want to make sure my plant looks healthy to everyone before I go buy more this weekend. I have had lots of growth in just less than a week. Lights on for about 10-12 hours a day. Currently only using Flourish Tabs. When I get other plants I will be getting Flourish and Flourish Excel. Thoughts? Ideas?

Here is how the plant looks now. Looks pretty healthy to me and growing very fast. On the new leaf though the veins are very dark. Not sure if you can tell but it is the lowest leaf. Let me know what you think.

Also, the plant now has what looks like hair growing on it. What is this? I assume some type of algae. Is there a type of shrimp I can add to remove it? Also, I heard online that bristlenose plecos will ruin plants, is this true?

The plant looks great to me! Great rockwork too :)

Thanks rock work took forever! I just bought slate tiles from Lowe's and busted them up. Took about three hours to silicone them all together, I was slowed down by the left side collapsing over. That part was a total nightmare. All in all though it was easy.
