in saltwarer/reef tanks u have and want live rock, live rock has bacteria growing on them, u could buy it live or add regular base/lace rock and turn it into live rock after a few weeks/months.
my question is if u have lace/porous rock in the fw tank for a while after the tank has been cycled or while it was being cycled will they be consider live rock as well after they have some bacteria on them?????
and if this could be could this help cycle/speed the cycle of a tank just like in saltwater/reef tanks???
or is this foolish thinking???
the reason of me thinking about this is why if u add rocks to a saltwater/reef tank they can turned into lr and sell it to ppl why wouldnt it work for freshwater???
