drilling 29gal tank

hey,

im planning on drilling my 29 and plumb it using the herbie method. I have looked into this method but am by no means an expert on it. i have a few questions i hope people will be able to answer for me.
I will be setting up a 29 gal display with a 10 gal sump so total water vol. should be around 35 gal.

1. i am going to drill a return hole so i will now have a total of 3 holes in my tank?

2. what size bulkhead should i be using for a 29 gal w. 10 sump? I was thinking about 300gph flow. (300gph too little?)

also thinking of a mag 3 or 5, cant decide if 350 gph is enough. havnt factored in head height though.

anyone have a 29 gal w sump they could share their experiences w me?
