My frogs are aggressive to my betta fish. When I was describing their behavior toward the betta fish the pet store employee though they sounded like African clawed frogs. I want to confirm that they are dwarf frogs and not clawed frogs. Looking at the photos do you think they are
Dwarf or Clawed?

Disclaimer: My tank is filled with plants and I just got guppies to try remedy the frogs behavior. If this doesn’t work I’ll get a tank divider or setup another tank.

Going by colour & shape I'm very tempted to say African Clawed, but it's hard to say without something to compare it's size to

Well with the quarter for size comparison I may revise my original statement and go Dwarf Frogs. I'm sure ADFs can be small but I've never seen them *sold* that small.
When you say *aggressive* qhat wxactly arw they doing?

They were following my Beta around and nipping at his fins. They ripped his tail fin pretty bad (it’s growing back now). My betta started hiding from them. My tank is covered in plants. Since I got the guppies the frogs have stopped chasing my betta (this is day two so far everyone is now getting along :)

Well keep an eye on them. Dwarf frogs have EXTREMELY poor eye sight so the fact that they were following your Betta means either they thought his tail was food, or they ARE actually African Clawed Frogs who will try to eat anything they *think* will fit in their mouths. Apparently it's going to take some more watching from you to setermine what they are
