Dwarf Gourami ill?

So, I have another post up about how I had to get rid of my angelfish, who I just took back to the LFS this morning because she was very aggressive towRd my dwarf gourami. When I got home about an hour ago I assessed just how back the damage was. He is missing some I his tIl fin, there's damage to his dorsal and anal fins and the "antennae?" -like projections are shredded and perhaps has some missing. He's hanging out at the surface aaa lot, even for a labrinyth fish and at times, he gets pushed on his side by the current and kinda just floats away. I've never dealt with aggression before. Is this typical or is something else happening?

Here's some pics. He's not looking so hot. I just checked my params last night. Trites 0, trates 5, amm 0, ph 7.6. Temp 78.

No one? No thoughts? Maybe swim bladder? Never had a sick fish before.

Never mind. Found him dead when I got home from work this morning.
