I picked this little dude up on Sunday and noticed a small paler area on his dorsal but thought maybe thats just how he looks and could've been born that way. Then tuesday he started looking splotchy and lost color in a couple areas so I moved him to a quarentine tank and started treating him with Tetra Lifeguard, its broad spectrum and I'm kind of shooting in the dark. Now he's lost most of his vibrancy. He was kept in a cycled 20g with 2 african dwarf frogs and two snails. The quarentine tank is uncycled so I've been doing 100% water changes daily. I'm hoping to narrow down what his ailment is so I can treat with something more targeted
ETA: not sure why the last photo is upsidedown

I ended up euthanizing Gimli yesterday, he was getting weaker by the day, stopped eating and was laying on the bottom of the tank and no amount of gentle persuasion would get him up. I didnt want to see him suffer anymore. An experienced dwarf gourami owner on Facebook seemed to think his symptoms were aligned with iridovirus which is unfortunately a death sentence for this species.
