Can dwarf hairgrass and dwarf baby tears survive if I up the temp to 84 degrees?
I would like to grow out some discus in a 55G planted tank. I am using Eco-complete for the substrate have lots of light natural plus an Aquatic Life Light T5 4 lamp. I don't want to use CO2 if possible...
Any help would be great.

HC and hairgrass will do far better with CO2 injection. With a 4 lamp t5ho fixture, you may find you end up with algae problems if you don't dose ferts and inject CO2 (or heavily supplement carbon with excel or other glutaraldehyde product).

As far as temp, you will probably be ok at 84.

84F is the very top temp range for both these plants so if you try be sure to keep a close eye on them. It may or may not work.
