In the tank their is 6 juv thread-fin rainbows, 1 apple snail, 2 dwarf platys, 4 juv BBR, 2 juv yo-yo loaches, and 10 albino neons...

eeeewwwwww nasty, i dont now what it is, crack it open, i guess there is something inside?

I believe apple snails lay their eggs above the water. I have never had one, so can't be sure, but it would be my guess.

I think it's an apple snail egg sac. Compare it to this picture from Google:

They probably would have never hatched though if you only have 1 apple snail. They need a male and a female to reproduce.

It is an apple snail clutch. Depending on how long you've had your female, they might be fertile-the females can store sperm for some months!

You can try hatching it, but if it's fertile you will have a million babies.
