Electric blue crayfish compatibilty/breeding

I am aware that these crayfish due caniballize in close quarter but what if i had a pair in a 20gal?


I currently have one male 4inch

If i got a female would they breed?

And what conditions do they require for successful breeding?

If they DO infact breed then i would need to quarantine the young correct?

I got 2 one white one blue , at first they fought Andover ripped a leg off the other but ever since then they don't bother one another. ( and the leg is growing back). I have them in a 55 gal. The trick is to have lots of places for them to hide.

If they are the same species (very important), a male and a female in a 20 gallon will be okay together. Yes they do in fact breed, but I am honestly not sure what the proper conditions to encourage breeding are apart from just maintaining the proper water parameters.

When they breed and the mother berries, it is a good idea to quarantine the mother until the eggs hatch. After they hatch, move the mother back to her tank to allow the young to grow out.
