This morning I noticed my bettas fins were looking pretty bad from its finrot so I decided to look around online to find if there were any home remedies because im not able to go to the fish store any time soon. I found that if you put a 1/8 tsp for every gallon of water then it will cure the fish.
My betta is in a 2.5 gallon tank (with one red claw crab) so i would need to put 2/8 tsp. I decided to put in 1/4 of a tsp because im pretty sure that 1/4=2/8. Once i dropped the tee tree oil in the betta dropped to the bottom of the tank!
I realised that the tank wasnt completely full so 1/4 would be to much because there was less water. I quickly filled the tank to the top and now my fish seems to be doing a bit better, its just swimming slowly to the top of the tank and getting air then sinking down a bit.
Im also worried the tea tree oil might kill the crab or something so im moved him to the cup the betta came in with a little water in it and a piece of his favorite plant
What should I do!!!! Any help is appreciated!
