I recently bought a 90 gallon tank and will be turning it into a freshwater planted sanctuary for my fish. I am moving up from a 29 gallon out of the box kit. I am thinking about going with a dirt substrate for better plants. I am pretty much lost when it comes to lighting and filters. I was thinking about making a wet/dry filter but I don’t know if it would be worth it in a freshwater tank. I am planning to put a co2 system in as well. I am just trying to get everything together before I set it up and start cycling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

CO2 will be most effective with canister filters. Wet/dry filters is terrible with CO2.

90g is pretty tall. You'll need strong lighting.

Any suggestions on the lighting? It seems like everything I find is designed for saltwater. Can I use one of those for saltwater?
