I have eight Buenos Aires tetras and two Bolivian rams. The rams don't stand a chance of eating flake food at the top, the BA's are too aggressive. The rams also don't seem to have any interest in the pellets I've been giving them. What's worse, the BA's have now been eating the pellets on the bottom when they soften up.

Is there anything I can do? Should I just take the rams back to the store before they starve to death?

:thanks:

Try using your hand to fend off the tetras as the food sinks. Fish only need a couple bits of food every couple days and they will be fine.

You could also take some food and put it in a small cup of tank water and let to food become absorbed with water, and then cover it with your hand and put it on the bottom of the tank and the food will stay toward the bottom.
